Queens Gate Hypnotherapy

You may have read in the press about the success of the Hypno-Band. Using hypnotherapy you can be fitted with a virtual gastric band (a hypnoband), which will make you believe that your stomach size has been reduced.

As a registered practitioner with Hypno-Band, I am licensed to carry out this procedure. The programme initially takes 3 to 7 sessions.

Eating Alright for Life

To support you in your weight loss I recommend that you begin with my Eating Alright for Life Programme, where we will explore the underlying emotional issues around your eating habits. Following this we will fit the Hypno-Band. The procedure still requires willpower, time and commitment but there is evidence of positive results.

Below I have set out how the programme usually works but of course I can adapt it to your needs.

The initial 3 sessions are all about your eating habits, becoming aware of what triggers your unhelpful eating patterns, how to feel good just as you are, how to look after yourself in other ways that don’t involve food, how to increase self esteem and to set goals around healthy eating.

At session 4 and 5 we begin to look more carefully at what you are eating and begin to shrink the size of your stomach so that you feel satisfied on less food if that is appropriate for you. At this stage I also offer an analysis of your food diary by a nutritional therapist.

At sessions 6 and 7 we can begin the Hypno-band procedure if appropriate for you or other goals if you don’t want the hypno-band.

How I would work with you

You may find that the Hypno-Band costs the same elsewhere but often it is squeezed into fewer sessions. I prefer to work slowly but surely so that your new eating habits are firmly embedded before we move onto the next stage. This is not a quick fix and could be seen more as an on-going process of change where you are getting better and better at making helpful food choices for your body. I encourage you to focus on all of the benefits of improved eating habits, not just weight loss. It can feel good just to end each day knowing you have made beneficial choices around food and to let go of that obsession with weight loss.
